    1. Exactly. He is the only one who knows what, when, and how our story will end. We need to trust him completely.

  3. God made promises to Israel as part of the covenant, on condition that He will fulfill only when Israel remains obedient to the dictates of the law.
In reassuring them of His faithfulness and encouraging them to be faithful as well, God made this pronouncements.
But Israel had the habit of going back and forth. They obey for some time, God blesses them, they forget themselves and go back to sin. God gets angry, sends a plague to destroy them. Moses intercedes. God’s wrath is quenched. The people are restored to God. They obey for some time and they sin again. It became the cycle for centuries.
So God assures that if we remain true to him all the blessings in His word will come to pass.
In my life, I believe that I need to be faithful not because I need His blessings but because He has blessed me well enough to remain faithful to him in appreciation of what He’s done already for me.

  6. My understanding of this scripture is that we don’t have to view God as a man. He does not lie and He does what He says. It is the nature of man to lie but God is faithful and always keeps His promises and we have numerous examples in scripture to affirm that He does what He says He will do.
