Scripture text: Matthew 15:21-31

Yesterday, my friend posted this sticker note on her IG story and it coincided with my quiet time topic and scripture text. I read it over and over and it made sense to me.
It says, “You can pray for anything and if you have faith, you will receive it”. π
If you were the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15:21-31, how would you feel when Jesus said, “it’s not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs” (vrs 26)?
What can you learn from her response about faith (vrs 27)? Though a stranger, this woman sets us as an example of “persistent faith in the Lord”.
Observe that Jesus did not answer her at once (vrs 23). But she did not give up and she was not offended by jesus’ seeming unwelcoming response.
Jesus commanded her great faith and her faith was rewarded with the healing of her daughter. I sometimes get confused, lost and far away and through those moments I stop and ask myself why I do the things I do. And my purpose in life. Whether I pray with faith of the things I ask from God.
Your tribe or social status does not matter in getting answer to your prayer; what matters is faith in Christ. If you face your challenges with faith, victory shall be yours.
Memory vrs: Hebrews 11:6
Prayer: God, I am grateful for my life. I plead with you to give me grace to maintain a strong faith in you.
