Lockdown Challenge #Day 12😉

Dawn prayers🙏

An extra week!♥️

I expected an extension to happen but i really thought there was going to be a break or two for us to move around freely. Yesterday, In Ghana, it was expected. Hearing the official announcement from the President himself made me realize the situation has really gone bad.

Now, i am starting to think the year 2020 came with it’s own style- one that is different from the years we’ve seen and experienced.

I would like to share something i read today. Kindly meditate on these two scriptures and pray for Ghana and the world too.

TEXTS FOR MEDITATION AND PRAYERS
I KINGS 18:1-46; DEUT. 7:1-7

Elijah’s Message to Ahab

18 After many days the word of the Lord came to Elijah, in the third year of the drought, saying, “Go, present yourself to Ahab; I will send rain on the earth.” So Elijah went to present himself to Ahab. The famine was severe in Samaria. Ahab summoned Obadiah, who was in charge of the palace. (Now Obadiah revered the Lord greatly; when Jezebel was killing off the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took a hundred prophets, hid them fifty to a cave, and provided them with bread and water.) Then Ahab said to Obadiah, “Go through the land to all the springs of water and to all the wadis; perhaps we may find grass to keep the horses and mules alive, and not lose some of the animals.” So they divided the land between them to pass through it; Ahab went in one direction by himself, and Obadiah went in another direction by himself.

As Obadiah was on the way, Elijah met him; Obadiah recognized him, fell on his face, and said, “Is it you, my lord Elijah?” He answered him, “It is I. Go, tell your lord that Elijah is here.” And he said, “How have I sinned, that you would hand your servant over to Ahab, to kill me? 10 As the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom to which my lord has not sent to seek you; and when they would say, ‘He is not here,’ he would require an oath of the kingdom or nation, that they had not found you. 11 But now you say, ‘Go, tell your lord that Elijah is here.’ 12 As soon as I have gone from you, the spirit of the Lord will carry you I know not where; so, when I come and tell Ahab and he cannot find you, he will kill me, although I your servant have revered the Lord from my youth. 13 Has it not been told my lord what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the Lord, how I hid a hundred of the Lord’s prophets fifty to a cave, and provided them with bread and water? 14 Yet now you say, ‘Go, tell your lord that Elijah is here’; he will surely kill me.” 15 Elijah said, “As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today.” 16 So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him; and Ahab went to meet Elijah.

17 When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, “Is it you, you troubler of Israel?” 18 He answered, “I have not troubled Israel; but you have, and your father’s house, because you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord and followed the Baals. 19 Now therefore have all Israel assemble for me at Mount Carmel, with the four hundred fifty prophets of Baal and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”

Elijah’s Triumph over the Priests of Baal

20 So Ahab sent to all the Israelites, and assembled the prophets at Mount Carmel. 21 Elijah then came near to all the people, and said, “How long will you go limping with two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” The people did not answer him a word. 22 Then Elijah said to the people, “I, even I only, am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets number four hundred fifty. 23 Let two bulls be given to us; let them choose one bull for themselves, cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire to it; I will prepare the other bull and lay it on the wood, but put no fire to it. 24 Then you call on the name of your god and I will call on the name of the Lord; the god who answers by fire is indeed God.” All the people answered, “Well spoken!” 25 Then Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose for yourselves one bull and prepare it first, for you are many; then call on the name of your god, but put no fire to it.” 26 So they took the bull that was given them, prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning until noon, crying, “O Baal, answer us!” But there was no voice, and no answer. They limped about the altar that they had made. 27 At noon Elijah mocked them, saying, “Cry aloud! Surely he is a god; either he is meditating, or he has wandered away, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and must be awakened.” 28 Then they cried aloud and, as was their custom, they cut themselves with swords and lances until the blood gushed out over them. 29 As midday passed, they raved on until the time of the offering of the oblation, but there was no voice, no answer, and no response.

30 Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come closer to me”; and all the people came closer to him. First he repaired the altar of the Lord that had been thrown down; 31 Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord came, saying, “Israel shall be your name”; 32 with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord. Then he made a trench around the altar, large enough to contain two measures of seed. 33 Next he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood. He said, “Fill four jars with water and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood.” 34 Then he said, “Do it a second time”; and they did it a second time. Again he said, “Do it a third time”; and they did it a third time, 35 so that the water ran all around the altar, and filled the trench also with water.

36 At the time of the offering of the oblation, the prophet Elijah came near and said, “O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your bidding. 37 Answer me, O Lord, answer me, so that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.” 38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the dust, and even licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, “The Lord indeed is God; the Lord indeed is God.” 40 Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal; do not let one of them escape.” Then they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Wadi Kishon, and killed them there.

The Drought Ends

41 Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of rushing rain.” 42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; there he bowed himself down upon the earth and put his face between his knees. 43 He said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” He went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” Then he said, “Go again seven times.” 44 At the seventh time he said, “Look, a little cloud no bigger than a person’s hand is rising out of the sea.” Then he said, “Go say to Ahab, ‘Harness your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’” 45 In a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind; there was a heavy rain. Ahab rode off and went to Jezreel. 46 But the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; he girded up his loins and ran in front of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

Together, let’s meditate and pray fervently. Remember not to grow weary of prayers. You can join me as we pray at Dawn too. I have come to realize that dawn prayers are efficient too and it does helps.

See you Tomorrow with Challenge 13!✌

THE BIG BANG THEORY

“Hi there, tell me about yourself“🤷

The last time someone approched me with this sentence was somewhere late last year. Sincerely, i think he had wanted us to be friends. The kind of friendship which could probably lead to something huh…i presume that is what you are thinking.

Day 11!❤ See it to the end

But please don’t get me wrong here. Not all approach with that intention. There are some who just admire us from afar, and would like to be friends and nothing more!

When we first met, i never asked you this kind of question because i don’t want the kind of circle where you will ask me to tell you about myself, as though we were in an interview. One principle i have learnt in life is to “let things happen naturally” it works better that way.
If it is friendship, it should grow and blossom by itself,
One in which after getting to know each other better,
Our best parts glow and bad parts go low,
For some reasons, i kind of miss my circle of friends. It’s thursday guys! A little throwback at the unforgettable memories we created before the spread of this virus…

We think we have grown and for that matter do not have time for friends but that’s not true. Why? Because once you need help, once you feel lonely, once you need advice, once you need someone to share your happiness with, once you need a shoulder to cry on, you run back to those friends. Friends are like a life support if they are real.

My kind was in church. I fellowship with The Church of Christ. And not to say that i don’t have others outside the church though…

It was a natural flow!♥️

We aren’t always in touch, checking up on each other, bla bla bla… But when we meet, be sure to hear the sound of laughter, faces beaming with infectious smiles, planning of hangouts, sharing thoughts and ideas. It is always based on a friendship which doesn’t tear down, but rather builds up,
One in which there’s freedom to fool and
freedom to receive corrections for growth

The vibe! We don’t always see each other but when we do, it is magical

The kind of friendship that shouldn’t be the “i lead and you follow” it should surely make a positive impact and contribution in our lives.

We are in difficult times and connecting with each other on social media is much easier. Not to make times like this boring and killing the vibe we have already…

Ours shouldn’t be boring! Let’s fool 😂 together. The silly things makes the spice!

1. Have you tried video calling? If you haven’t, please do. Check up on your friends by video calling them. It is fun! It could be your circle.

2. Tried texting them during the day to check up on them? Or maybe send a funny comment? Remember them of old times? sending them cute messages?

I’m still siting with them!

3. Times like this would mean starting all over again. Did you have a little misunderstanding with them? forget about the intensity of the issue and how it aggrevated into something worse. Send that inspiring and motivating text or call to motivate them! A friend needs you now.

Let’s fight and talk again! That’s the kind i want

4. We should yearn for a friendship which never ends because we help each other be fulfilled. A friend needs an idea to complete a task! If you don’t call or text now, that idea will never come to fruition.

5. It should be that our contributions to each other’s life is engineered by the Holy Spirit Himself. Are your conversations all about hanging out and shopping? Are you leaving “The God-Factor” out of your lives?

Today’s post is a wake-up call to all of us. Tell your ego not to interfere in this. Let’s do this together…allow a natural flow for starters and check up on old pals regularly. You may never know where, when or how. Don’t lose them before you try to cry, check up or blame yourself of not doing the checking.

I just checked on a friend and sent a word of motivation. Have you done that now?❤

Every picture on this blog today is a reminder that your friends appreciate you and want the world to know how special you are. You can also mention your friends in the comment session and leave a message for them. Friendship is just as beautiful as you are.

I love and appreciate us!😍

#Be safe♥️

With Love,

Akosua.

Lockdown Challenge #Day 10😎

It was very peaceful and the whole area was somewhat or could be said a “ghost town” when i stepped out today. Lol…don’t get me wrong, i needed some cash today and i just needed to go to an ATM close by. The Mallam Junction i knew before, per my observation today was peaceful and less of human traffic plus traffic Jam too.

Mum was a bit worried though. But somehow, i needed my cash anyways. 🤷

Poco à poco, we’ll get there and fight this! We’re on the 10th Challenge guys… It’s been fun i must confess. And i am glad i keep reminding you “Time wasted can never be regained” through this challenge! It is never too late to create something worthwhile with the little time and days we’ve got. Remind yourself :

Finish creating? Add “wow” to it!😄😄

You are unique in your own way, even though this might sound a cliché to you. You can do better than your current state.

For some us, the pandemic would mean, Watching of movies, reading books, listening to music, playing of games, using social media to shake off boredom etc.

Gresham Machen says, “When any new fact enters the human mind it must proceed to make itself at home; it must proceed to introduce itself to the previous denizens of the house. That process of introduction of new facts is called thinking. And, contrary to what seems to be quite generally supposed, thinking cannot be avoided by the Christian man.”

Whether we are reflecting on a fact at any given moment or not, we are always thinking, and that thinking shapes us in a way.

So my question is “What are you watching currently?”

White Collar 2009, 6 seasons with almost 12-15 episodes. Though a very old movie, and you might probably not finding it interesting because it is not a “current trend” i will recommend White Collar to you; everyday and anyday!

Neal, a charming con artist, is finally caught by his nemesis, FBI agent Peter. But he teams up with Peter to assist the Feds in catching other elusive criminals in exchange for his freedom.

The swiftness, smartness and captivating characters in this drama series is one you will never miss out! Guys, this is no exaggeration; White Collar as Matt Bomber’s biggest input! It was phenomenal watching it and trust me full of suspense. I’m like “Oh wow…this is brilliance”

I’d love to know what you are also watching. Maybe recommend it to me😄

Remember to download White Collar. If you haven’t watched it yet. And if you are, engage me with a new series you are watching!

Be safe

Love you all. ♥️

Lockdown Challenge #Day 7!♥️

Hello guys!

It’s the first day of the week. And we are still battling with the pandemic. I’m pretty sure and know that God is with his people and just like his words says, he will never leave us nor forsake us! We’re in this together as a country and we will surely overcome it!✌

He knew and formed us! He created us so we should be creative thinkers!

Lockdown challenge is getting better each day! I’m sure you are creating something extraordinary and unique to show the world! Yasssss…that is the spirit!

Today is sunday, not much to do after service at home, family time with my extended crew😁.

So here is a scenario or an assumption! Or are you in one yourself?

So i love my readers and those who try to read some of my pieces even on a busy day. Your inputs and critiques have been tremendous! I appreciate. I decided to engage us in a “Relationship Talk” this evening!

Quick question

A man who works in Tamale marries from Akosombo. The woman works in Akosombo and loves working there in a cooporate world.

After their marriage, the couple is in a delimma as to who should compromise and come live over. The woman loves working at Akosombo and the man loves working at Tamale!

What will you do if you were the woman?

Lockdown challenge 7

Let’s read answers from our Readers!

Jemy: I hate assumptions. Well, depending on their jobs, if it’s possible for one of them to seek transfer to join the other why not
They knew this before deciding to marry. So they should have put all the necessary measures in place
Well if it’s not possible to be at one place, one party can move to the other over the weekends

Efya: Please the woman has to join her husband no two ways about that. And she doesn’t have any special reasons to stay there and also love is about sacrifice so she should move pls.

Qwesi: look for another work in Akosombo or closer. Untile then i will be traveling every weekend if i can to see her and go back to tamale after. during my leave days i will come to akosombo.

Doris: if it a work that will demand my input and make me happy, i will stick married to him and visit on weekends. On the contrary, if it is the opposite, i will sacrifice.

Iggy: It’s all about the paper, if she earns more, I’ll compromise
Exactly, the point is making live better, so no need for self centered projections
But you need to salvage your relationship.. If we working farther apart wouldn’t jeopardize our marriage, fine.

Fred: He should do whatever the woman says because he’s not serious. He should have solved this before marrying
Now de3 itz damage control. If none of dem wishes to move, dey should just settle for a long distance marriage
Till one decides to move.

Wissy: Let’s come halfway to kumasi🤣🤣🤣
We’ll come to Nsawam🤣🤣🤣🤣
On a more serious note, we can always talk about it. Personally, I don’t intend to be married and live single😅
So, if I can come close to my wide, why not…there’s always a way out.

May: To me, they should run shift since none of them is willing to
The woman goes to the man’s place for sometime, then vice versa.

Dave: First of all before he went to marry he knew there would be issues.
Secondly, he can’t possibly convince his wife to move because women become comfortable and don’t want to move

Thirdly, he will have to choose what he loves more his job or his wife

Conclusion:
If I were the man I’d just look for a job in or close to Akosombo to be closer to my wife
😂😂😂😂😂me too on there ooo

Ace: This should have been resolved even before the marriage took place. However, I’ll examine the chances of employment at Akosombo or Accra before deciding to move.
Ah. You’re getting married, you have to discuss where ya’ll going to live together after marriage. You don’t wait after marriage.
Then we’ll both live at our separate places and visit weekends Every decision in this scenario is going to be a tough one 🤷🏼‍♂️

Doris 2: Because l love my husband,l will join him at tamale.

Little cuz: Story of my life. Share the answers with me😁
I would have been married by now if I had an answer
Its easier to say that you will both visit when you take your leave and during holidays
Maintain constant communication. Take transfer when kids come into the picture

Think hard! Make a good choice!

Prisy: The man should join me if he loves me
And the work the man does was not stated
If the man’s work fetch more money than mine then joining him won’t be bad.

Jen: They should decide and visit each other on weekends.
Or better still ,the man should opt for a transfer to join the woman at Akosombo since that place is quite of a city than tamale.

Kusi: Interesting analogy 😊😊🤔🤔

Aaron: This is really dicey issue. In the first place this should have been discussed by the couple before marriage.
And in this case there has to be a compromise by one party.
Now it will easy for the woman to move because her profession is always on high demand, she will easily get a hospital to work in.
For the man it depend the type of work he is into. He he is self employed then he can move his job the lady’s place but if not it will be difficult to get another job quickly.

Now my submission I personally think the lady should move to join the man because even with our normal church system when you marry you leave your church and join your husband it only in some few cases that the don’t do that.
So they should apply that to this situation.

So the lady should move and join the man🙏🏽

Kae runner: his is a difficult question to answer
But since the man has become head of the family, the woman has to compromise and go along with the man to Tamale…
Tho it will be difficult for the woman but with time she will be ok.

Kwame: if my company have a branch at Akosombo I will take a transfer
But if not cmon she is a nurse she can be transferred anywhere.

Boom!♥️😂😂 interesting answers i must say. What do you also think about this scenario? Going through this same situation? Share your thoughts with me… I would love to hear them!

Keep safe!

Happy sunday♥️

Lockdown Challenge #Day 6!

What have you started creating?

Surprise Saturday!!!

Struggling to create someting? Don’t be… To all writers or those who have a passion for creative arts, this is our chance! I just had to save this for today!

It is Surprise Saturday as i would love to call it! If you’ve still not figured out what to do with this Lockdown, here is your chance to show the world what you have got!

The Covid-19 writing challenge!!♥️

Read the poster above for details.

All the best people.

Let’s start work!♥️✌

Be safe!

Lockdown Challenge #Day 5.

Don’t give up yet! Plant that idea…

Guess what i would have done if there was no lockdown in the country because of Coronavirus on a friday!

1. I’d have wore my African print and be looking all stylish to work. (mind you i love African Prints!)

2. Close of work would mean travelling back to Accra for a fun-filled weekend.

But we are grounded now😂.

But let all who take refuge in you be glad”

Morning through till Evening: It is an hourly read, (thorough read), meditation and fervent prayers. Scriptures was based on the book of Psalm- the entire book of Psalm.

One that strikes me the most is psalm 142.

1. With my voice I cry to the Lord;
with my voice I make supplication to the Lord.
I pour out my complaint before him;
I tell my trouble before him.
When my spirit is faint,
    you know my way.

In the path where I walk
they have hidden a trap for me.
Look on my right hand and see—
    there is no one who takes notice of me;
no refuge remains to me;
    no one cares for me.

I cry to you, O Lord;
I say, “You are my refuge,
my portion in the land of the living.”
Give heed to my cry,
for I am brought very low.

Save me from my persecutors,
for they are too strong for me.
Bring me out of prison,
so that I may give thanks to your name.
The righteous will surround me,
for you will deal bountifully with me.

Try doing this!

Share your experience with me afterwards. I would love to know…

The challenge still continues…

#Lockdown challenge #Day 6 it is tomorrow!!

Lockdown Challenge #Day 4💃💃💃💃

Yass! Inspiration is the seed.

The Month of April certainly came with a new vibe. I pray it fills us with Bliss, happiness and drives the pandemic away! Amen.

Guys, i’m having a lot of fun with this lockdown challenge. Who would have thought! Days prior, i remember vividly telling a friend i hate this. I guess developing this Strategy with my small circle is really helping me to shake off the boredom i envisioned!

Now, i barely go close to my phone to check my notifications or what people are saying on social media. It feels like i’m back at work again!😂😂

Thursday schedule! #Day 4♥️

Today was fun!!!💃💃😂😂

Wait for it…

Morning: Psalm 121 is my motivation for today.

I lift up my eyes to the hills—
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth.He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
He who keeps Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade at your right hand.

Afternoon:

Time to wash, scrub, wash utensils and do general clean-up🤷

Laundry is a part of modern life we can’t escape, so of course dreams of washing clothes are common. It may seem like a mundane task, but there is actually a lot of surprising symbolism when you see clothes that need washed in dreams.

I actually felt refreshed and relieved doing this today. Initially, i had wanted to do all these during weekends. But i realized the drying lines won’t be enough on a saturday! Yeah!!! I have my whole family at home. Lol…

My initial reaction 😂

Evening:

I miss the Republic Bar and Grill because of Karaoke. From Afrobeat to highlife to other forms of music!

Karaoke is a type of dining interactive entertainment or video game developed in Japan in which an amateur singer sings along with recorded music using a microphone. The music is normally an instrumental version of a well-known popular song. Wikipedia

So if we can’t go to Karaoke, we’ll let the Karaoke come to us! Yaaaaayi💃💃😂😂

The fun is still on going though…

Karaoke!!♥️ i’m loving my evening right now.

So i ended my evening with Karaoke!

Hope you are keeping safe though.

Remember to follow the precautionary measures too.

Love y’all.

Lockdown Challenge #Day 3!✌☝️

Had a good read of my #Lockdown Challenge 2 yesterday? Even though i wasn’t creating something, i have been able to bring my small circle together to follow my routine for this 2weeks.

In making decisions, we need to seek wisdom from God! James 1:5-8 is my motivation for today!

Day 3! As usual, i couldn’t start without going through the schedule.

Do something that makes you happy and makes you stay positive.

Schedule for Day 3!♥️

Wednesday

Morning: I read two verses today from the scriptures and i prayed about every decision i make in my journey to succeed as a young woman!

If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you. But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind; 7, 8 for the doubter, being double-minded and unstable in every way, must not expect to receive anything from the Lord. James 1:5-8.

I have learnt to ask for wisdom in making decisions from God before i carry on with my plans- and i’ll ask this in faith!

Afternoon: Guys, i usually do this and it has helped me in a way. I think it is a blessing in disguise! It is also God’s way of showing me to give and not to be selfish. My schedule says “Separate old clothes, small ones, from the lot” so what i do is this, i usually give-away clothes that i barely put them on because of “increase in weight” to distant relatives in my hometown. Any time mummy plans on visiting them, i have had to send these clothes away and replace them with new ones.

Old clothes! Give them away!

Evening: Currently, what are you watching now?

In equal parts high-concept thriller and coming-of-age drama, HANNA follows the journey of an extraordinary young girl raised in the forest, as she evades the relentless pursuit of an off-book CIA agent and tries to unearth the truth behind who she is.”

I bet you’ve not seen this yet! My Day 3 of Lockdown Challenge, this evening would have to be fun! I couldn’t think of anything less than downloading this Movie. A 2019 movie which is also a seasonal one that will get you in moment of suspense.

I recommend this movie to y’all and to my favourite Movie freaks out there 🤣😂😂.

Hanna is the Title. Go get it!

The night is still young. huh?

I’ll definately keep you posted on #Lockdown Challenge #Day 4 tomorrow.

Be safe♥️

With Love
